Jennifer Rutt Senior Evaluation Project Manager

My name is Jenn, and I am an Evaluation Project Manager with UNL's Methodology and Evaluation Research Core Facility (MERC). Here at MERC, I work primarily on substance abuse prevention grants from SAMHSA called Strategic Prevention Framework - Partnerships For Success (SPF-PFS) and Drug Free Communities (DFC) which both evaluate underage drinking perceptions and behaviors, as well as prevention efforts across the state. I work with clients to coordinate and organize data collection, analyze data and write reports, provide training and technical assistance when needed, and provide feedback at both the local and state levels. Additionally, I help coordinate qualitative data collection, and facilitate trainings on data collection and analysis. I received my M.A. in Social Justice in Intercultural Relations from the SIT Graduate Institute in 2011, and my B.A. in International Relations and Politics from Cornell College in 2007. I received my Ph.D. in Educational Studies - Leadership in Higher Education focusing on Social Justice, Social Identity, and International topics in 2020. My personal research experience has included time in Berlin, Germany studying Composer Richard Wagner’s impact on German Nationalism, as well as time in Honolulu, HI focusing on cultural conflict by examining cultural identity with youth.
