Unmanned Systems Foundations and Applications - Research Experience for Undergraduates

The UNL Unmanned Systems Foundations and Applications Summer Research Program enables qualifying undergraduate students to receive training in research within their field under the direction of Dr. Brittany Duncan. Funding is provided through a National Science Foundation (NSF) Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) grant. Students are paired with faculty mentors and also receive mentorship from graduate student researchers in the lab for a 10-week period.

MERC is providing evaluation support for this program. The evaluation includes pretest, posttest, and follow-up surveys conducted by the REU program. Additionally, MERC staff conducts mid-point and exit focus groups with the students, and faculty and graduate student mentor exit interviews each year.
