Fatima Aigbomian Graduate Intern

I am a third year PhD student at the Political Science department of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, with the intention to specialize in human rights and humanitarian affairs. My research focus cuts across international relations and comparative politics with a bias for international human rights, international law, and international courts. The majority of my research applies qualitative methods that are primarily based on archival documents, particularly legal and quasi-legal documents from international courts and inter-governmental organizations. My previous research was on how the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) expanded into a human rights court and evolved into a human rights regime for West African States. I am currently working at MERC where I look forward to learning more about project evaluation and the practical application of multi-methods research tools from a public policy perspective.
