Brittany Bearss
Summer Graduate Intern
My name is Brittany Bearss and I am a doctoral candidate in the Child, Youth, and Family Studies Department. I specialize in using qualitative and visual-arts methods to study global family health and wellbeing. My Bachelor's degree is in psychology from the State University of New York at Geneseo and my Master's degree is in Human Sciences from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. I am currently working on my dissertation, studying immigrant-origin student experiences of wellness on UNL's campus.
Summer 2025 is my fourth summer working as a MERC graduate student intern. I've worked on several projects across MERC and am happy to be back! Outside of MERC I love gardening and spending time with my family.
