Consultations
MERC consults on a wide range of projects for a variety of clients. At the proposal stage of grants, we can design evaluation plans to meet your project needs, with the associated narrative text, budget, and letter of collaboration, as needed. We can also fill gaps post-award, or provide support with internal funding. We can assist with logic models, Broader Impacts, methodologies, needs assessments, survey design and implementation, support with Institutional Review Board applications, and trainings in our areas of expertise.
Evaluation
MERC’s evaluation services include proposal development, methodologies to answer the evaluation questions, and support with data collection. The MERC team have expertise in quantitative, qualitative, multi- and mixed-methods, survey design, data visualization, and reporting. We are huge fans of mixed- and multi-method evaluation designs, capturing both breadth and depth. There are many possible approaches to most questions, and our team can discuss the pros and cons of each, including the impact on the budget, timing, and possible results.
Methodology
MERC supports research and other data collection through consulting and direct services. If we have the expertise and availability, we can help with data support. This may include fundamental services such as data entry and transcription, or more advanced analyses and reporting.
Trainings
MERC offers trainings on various methodological, analytical, and evaluation related topics for a nominal fee. Existing customizable trainings are listed below, however, new content and topics may be developed to meet client needs.
