Jack Macfadyen is a recent graduate from the University of Nebraska—Lincoln with dual bachelor’s degrees in Statistics and Sociology. In his role as an Evaluation Project Associate, he handles data analysis and report preparation across various projects. He is interested in working with large datasets as well as data visualization for better accessibility. In his free time, he enjoys reading books and watching movies, and loves to find passion projects involving video editing or 3D modeling.

  1. What brought you to MERC?
    • I came to MERC because of their work in helping others' research through consulting and data evaluation, as I wanted to gain experience in qualitative and quantitative methods by working on various projects.
  2. What work skills do you hope to develop in the future?
    • I hope to improve my writing abilities in order to better communicate ideas and findings in evaluations and reports.
  3. What topic could you talk enthusiastically about for hours?
    • I could talk endlessly about digital forensics and online privacy. Though the more I talk about it, the more I sound like I wear a tinfoil hat.
